The cause and solution of the longitudinal water ripple in the heat resistant conveyor belt

According to the research, longitudinal water ripples are seldom seen on canvas core conveyor belts, but they appear frequently on nylon core, EP core and other synthetic fiber cores. What on earth is this? According to the different core characteristics, it is found that the nylon and polyester fibers shrink after heat, and the inner space of the core fabric after the soaking is reduced, and it is not easy to be compressed. When vulcanized, nylon and EP cloth are pressed to the center of the plate axis and extend to both sides. When the mat iron is not extended, the longitudinal water ripple will form. The Monster conveyor belt needle has carried on the thorough research to this question, and has obtained the good solution, below to share with you:


Solution: (1) the belt width is smaller than the finished production width, try to keep the width in the finished product width of about 99%; (2) curing, mould width should be appropriate to relax, such as curing width of 1000mm belt, die width can be broadened to the original 1010 + 5mm; (3) increasing the curing pressure, generally increased about 2.5-3mpa; (4) with vulcanized stretch should not be too large, should be 1%-2%, as the canvas heat shrinkage rate and size; (5) increase the nylon cloth, EP cloth adhesive thickness. As a heat resistant conveyor belt, adhesive thickness should be slightly thicker than ordinary conveyor belt, which can not only prevent the appearance quality defects, but also can increase the adhesive layer, especially in the EP core with high temperature operation, if the EP canvas glue thickness is not enough, in the process of operation to cause gum and cloth or cloth and layer. While nylon and canvas cores are small and soft in the core layer, this is rarely the case.
